While some bicyclists think of this easy bike path as a bit boring, families call it a true favorite. Users can take walks, jog, bicycle, skateboard or rollerblade on the well-traveled path from North Hollywood to Burbank.

Now, Los Angeles City Council President Paul Krekorian has initiated a $1.2 million funding plan to improve the heavily used community space, including the bike path that starts a few blocks away from the eastern end of the Orange Bike Lane and continues east.

Improvements will include new recreation equipment at Satsuma Avenue and Chandler Boulevard, and at Cartwright Avenue and Chandler Boulevard. Other upgrades will address new signage, landscaping, accessibility improvements and path drainage.
